Power issues delayed Amtrak’s west bound California Zephyr on June 6, 2021, requiring the help of Union Pacific SD70AH No. 8849.

This photo was taken of the late train No. 5 cruising above the Truckee River at Floriston, CA 12 miles east of Truckee, CA on the former Southern Pacific’s Donner Pass. This train arrived in Truckee five hours and 20 minutes late on this day.
