MARC train No. P877 arrives at the Point of Rocks, MD station with newly delivered MP36PH-3C No. 24 on May 10, 2010. This new 3,600 HP diesel is one of 26 MP36PH-3Cs MARC ordered from Motive Power Industries in April 2008. The CSX train on the right is a west bound train of empty coal cars waiting for the MARC train to depart. This station was designed by noted architect E. Francis Baldwin and was completed in 1873. This location is at the junction of CSX's two former B&O lines at Point of Rocks, Maryland. On the left is the Old Main Line Sub, which reached here from Baltimore in 1832; on the right is the Metropolitan Sub, completed from Washington D.C. to Point of Rocks in 1873.
