TexRail Siemens DMU FLIRT (Fast, Light, Intercity, Regional Train) rest under the canopies at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Terminal B. Terminal B is used by American Eagle regional jets. The FLIRTs are built by seimens in their Salt Lake City plant. TexRail has eight of these train sets that ply the former Cotton Belt Rout from Fort Worth to the airport. To the left is one of the FLIRTs named “Spike”. It was completed around the time that the “Golden Spike” was being celebrated in Salt Lake City, hence its name.

Not far away, at Terminal C, the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) light rail system serves an American Airlines Terminal.
