With Sanderson TX behind the markers, Train 1, The Sunset Limited, has come to Longfellow Draw. The siding also takes the name from the Longfellow Ranch.

A few miles east is the town of Sanderson, named for Joseph Sanderson, the Engineer in Charge of Construction of the railroad. Sanderson is the County Seat of Terrell County. This is a harsh and sparsely settled place. With the huge Sanderson Canyon, US90 takes a more circuitous route between here and Del Rio TX.
