UP local, LAF28 crosses the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels TX. The former MP bridge was constructed in 1925 and is a 535 plate girder span.

The photo was taken from the Faust Street Bridge, built in 1887 and open to pedestrians. It is the only multi-span Whipple truss remaining in the country. New Braunfels was settled in 1845 by Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels. By 1850, it was the 4th largest city in Texas.
