A south bound New Mexico Rail Runner Express train boards passengers at the Downtown Bernalillo, New Mexico Rail Runner station on September 12, 2009. Commonly known as the Rail Runner, its name was derived from the cartoon show featuring New Mexico’s state bird, Road Runner. This commuter rail operation provides service between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, and south to Belen. The four-car train was powered by MP36PH-2 No. 107, delivered in September 2008.
